Survey – what do parents think of the 30 hours funded entitlement?

Survey – what do parents think of the 30 hours funded entitlement?

From September 2017, working parents* of children aged 3 and 4 in Somerset will be able to apply for 30 hours of funded childcare per week. Somerset County Council is asking for parent’s views and needs on what type of childcare they will need in the future, in order to accurately assess the demand and plan the right childcare places for Somerset.

If your child turns 3 years after the 1st September 2016, then Somerset County Council’s Early Years commissioning team would like to hear your views by 20 July 2016.

The questionnaire will require you to answer a variety of questions relating to your family’s current childcare arrangements as well as parental employment information. The information collected will be held securely and remain confidential. It will be used for the purpose of assessing demand for the extended entitlement only. It will only take up 5-10 minutes of your time.
